So, after running the-nostalgia-machine for over a week, I got a sense of what songs are popular from the 90s. It may be more apparent after a month, but it’s pretty interesting to see what people like and don’t like.
By far, the most popular are The Smashing Pumpkins. The notes on their songs come pretty fast. The Foo Fighters have the second most notes, which is surprising because I figured out of all the groups put up Nirvana would be at the top of the list. One hit wonders do quite well, too. Rock gets more attention than pop, which gets more attention than 90s hip hop and R&B (that isn’t named Michael Jackson).
